Since 1999 I have been playing drums in the rock band 10 Years but I grew up playing guitar and writing songs so it only seems fitting that I eventually dedicated some time to writing songs just for me! Don´t be confused and think that 10 Years is on hiatus or anything, 10 Years is still growing strong and I love and appreciate all the fans we have won over since we have started. This project is just going to be very special to me because songwriting is my favorite aspect of music and I have had some amazing things happen in my life over the years that I would love to share with everyone. As of right now it´s simply just my voice and my acoustic guitar. Why not just have 10 Years play these songs? These songs that I am writing are about the big change in my life that has occurred over the past few years including my marriage, my sobriety, and the most amazing one of all....the birth of my beautiful daughter! She is my everything and that girl is going to have so many songs written about her that she´s going to get sick of hearing them from me! The lyrics are so personal and meaningful to me I feel that it is only right that I am the one to sing them. With flattering comparisons to Jack Johnson, Radiohead, and Dave Matthews Band it is evident that it is a very far cry from the music of 10 Years but that is what makes it so much fun for me! Forget the music for a second. My life is pretty cool these days. I have the coolest wife, my daughter is the most amazing thing to ever happen to me, and I´m in really great health! I have been on a pretty strict workout plan for a little over a year now and have really cleaned up my diet and I feel great. Believe it or not I have lost around 70 pounds just from changing my eating habits and getting a lot of exercise. I have to attribute so much of my good health to my diet. I have also been drinking this stuff called MonaVie that just kicks some serious ass. It´s a bunch of crazy fruits blended into a juice and it´s so good I actually had to get involved in the company. I used to struggle with all the typical rock star stuff....sex, drugs, and rock & roll but I have been totally clean and sober since May of 2006 and I really love talking to people who might need help with doing the same. Life is hard but I´m proof that anything is possible. I was able to kick my addictions, lose 70 pounds, and get my life together so if anyone out there needs motivation drop me a line. It´s safe to say that between being a husband and father, being in 10 Years, writing my own music, my exercise regiment, and introducing people to MonaVie that I tend to stay pretty freaking busy!
