Early Beatles, couched in a sound similar to the Goo Goo Dolls, along with intelligent and creative storytelling not unlike Bob Dylan, is how Music Connection Magazine describes Joshua Paths music. Joshua simply calls it Blister Pop. You can judge for yourself by listening to his latest CD, The Sugar Fields. Joshua spent the past few years writing and recording songs for The Sugar Fields, simultaneously polishing his live sound by performing in all the major clubs in the Los Angeles area. His standing-room-only shows landed him a guest spot on KROQs Loveline, along with punk rockers Bad Religion. I had to be the most outrageous, since no one knew who the hell I was, Joshua says. Probably wont stay that way for long. Finally released in 2006 on Vanalden Records, The Sugar Fields is a fourteen-song blitzkrieg thats already garnered heaps of praise. Path seems radio ready. And thats meant in the most complimentary way possible, said Splendid Magazine. Indie Music Magazine wrote, Path manages to incorporate all the best elements of American pop music of the last three decades while simultaneously infusing it with his own deeply soulful, yet irreverent, style. Eight of Joshua Paths songs are currently featured in the new film Crutch, directed by Rob Moretti and distributed by Illuminare Entertainment. The Sugar Fields is currently available on Amazon and CDBaby.com. You can also download it on most digital music sites, including iTunes.
