Big Daddy Weave
Big Daddy Weave
BIG DADDY WEAVE is one of the finest new Christian acts we are honored to deal with. It looks like the Christian melodic Rock scene is back in action, now more than ever cos with bands such as DOWNHERE, TAIT, ACROSS THE SKY, DELIRIOUS and (ofcourse my favorite album of last year) the amazing SWITCHFOOT we get another fine example of how impressivly active this genre recently is. We spoke to the very kind Jeremy Redmon the guitar player of this outfit. About the debut THE ONE AND ONLY, about the brilliant FIELDS OF GRACE and about Jonatha Brooke .....

Blue October
Blue October
Andrew Ellis talks music and much more besides with Blue October frontman Justin Furtenfeld. To say Justin Furtenfeld, lead singer and songwriter of Dallas rockers Blue October is an interesting interviewee is putting it mildly. Enthusiastic and talkative, his love of music and his willingness to be frank and upfront about his previous battles with demons such as alcoholism and depression is refreshing.I caught up with him on the eve of the release of Blue October?s third major label release Foiled. The first single, ?Hate Me? has been a hit at alternative radio and in this revealing Q&A interview, Furtenfeld detailed the background to that song, the making of the album, his confessional writing style and his constant battle to find inner peace.

Boyce Avenue
Boyce Avenue
Boyce Avenue is a band of guys you probably know. You may not know them specifically, but you know guys like them. They're your best buddies from college or guys you hung out with in high school. They're a few down-to-earth, everyday guys, who suddenly got thrust into the limelight with a few key moves several years ago. The three brothers, Alejandro, Daniel, and Fabian played music together for many years, but it wasn't until a few videos on YouTube turned them into overnight superstars that they realized that this music thing was more than just for fun. For quite some time, Boyce Avenue's cover versions of hits from artists like Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Goo Goo Dolls, and many others, occupied the top spot on the YouTube music charts, as they were the most-viewed artist on YouTube. Fast-forward through a few years of touring and a highly successful independently-released album, Boyce Avenue scored a record deal with Universal Republic, and an opportunity to make their dreams as a band come true. With the release of their major label debut 'All That We Have Left,' they are doing just that. We sat down with Daniel Manzano of Boyce Avenue recently to chat about the new album.

Brad Byrd
Brad Byrd
I've been a big fan of Brad Byrd ever since his fantatsic debut album "The Ever Changing Picture" that was released in 2005. Loves his mix of traditional singer/songwriter rock with a portion of pop that makes it both classic and fresh. He's back with a new album called " Mental Photograph" that is equally as good and we just had to do an interview to get an update! Enjoy….

Brother Clyde
Brother Clyde
Brother Clyde is a new rock outfit lead by country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Though many music fans might be surprised by the vocalist's new edgy direction, Cyrus' bond with rock-n-roll actually runs deep. His love for bands like AC/DC and Mountain goes back to his teens and the days when he was slugging it out on the bar scene. Joining him in Brother Clyde is drummer Samantha Maloney. Many of you will remember her for her days playing in Motley Crue, Hole, and other groups, throughout the past decade. With their self-titled debut album hitting stores this week, we caught up with Maloney and asked her about the new band.

Bullets and Octane
Bullets and Octane
Pure rocknroll - that?s the message Bullets and Octane is delivering. And they?re doing it very well, well enough to get signed to RCA and tour with bands like Korn, Deftones, 10 years and many more. I had the chance to talk a little with the band?s drummer Ty Smith,on the Family Values Tour, which is one coolest guys in the business??

Burn
Burn
After an enforced sabbatical, Burn return to the hard rock stage with their third album - Global Warning. Based in Leicestershire, in the heart of the UK, Burn emerge regrouped and recharged with a harder sound but retaining all the stomping melody that brought their debut album So Far So Bad rave reviews (a 5K from Kerrang and 9/10 in Metal Hammer) back in 1993.Fast forward to late 2006 and Burn are indeed rejuvenated. A year spent recording and infusing the new ideas into the remaining core of Burn - has resulted in easily Burn´s best material to date.

Burn Season
Burn Season
It?s better to burn out than fade away!,a well known phrase that the band Burn Season sure lives by.They were signed to Elektra and recorded a full length album but everything turned against them and the album was never released.2 of the bandmembers left the band and things started to look really bad but the remaining 2 members-singer Damien Starkey and drummer Bobby Amaru wouldn?t give up,all this mess just made them stronger and with the 2 new members:Kevin Renwick on guitars and Adam Silk on bass-Burn Season is on the move with the revolution coming......................soon!

Martin Briley
Martin Briley
New York songwriters, there are so many of them. Some are just good in their job, some are just brilliant. Glen Burtnik was always one of my favorite ones and Martin Briley always one of the most underated ones. They actually know eachother and worked together in the past. But lets focus on Martin Briley cos this intelligent guy just released a fine refreshing sparkling new solo album titled "It Comes In Waves" on the MTM label. If you ask me, definetly a big surprise and without any doubt the strongest release on this German label in a long time ! The album sounds absolutely not dated at all, in fact all songs do sound like AOR supposed to be. I have a huge respect for Martin Briley cos he produced, wrote, played most of the instruments and sang on this album. A big effort from this very talented guy and a solo album he should be more than proud of. We shared some comments with Martin and heres what he had to say .....

Robin Beck
Robin Beck
November 2008 will mark a very special date in the career of Robin Beck. Twenty years previously, the song ´First Time´ became a worldwide hit single and the album that followed it, Trouble or Nothing is still regarded as a classic example of Female Hard Rock/AOR.To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Trouble Or Nothing, Robin is releasing a brand new re-recording of the whole album including ´First Time´. As a bonus for her biggest fans, the first 100 pre-orders will get their CD autographed by Robin along with a brand new signed photograph not available elsewhere.

Robin Beck
Robin Beck

Here we go... Talking about Robin Beck isn't something really easy. What to say about a singer who should have been as big as Lita Ford and Doro Pesch? What to say about an artist who's got a classic album as "Trouble Or Nothing"?

Robin Beck has always been one of the greatest female voices of rock, other than being one of the nicest people I have ever met... This interview with her shows us her own view of her career, which started in the seventies and is still going strong. Robin's new album, "Love Is Coming" is out NOW!!! As good as it seems to be, one can expect another great, classic AOR release of a singer who proved long ago to be essential when we dare talking about melodic rock.

Ladies and gentlemen, with you, the one and only Robin Beck!!!

Criss Sexx

Steve Bertrand
Steve Bertrand
"Pain Is A Megaphone" is at least to say a strange title for a debut album. Steve Betrand decided to call his first born solo effort that way. You might know Steves great voice from his earlier days with bands such as The Tories and Avion. But now and in a slightly more mellow melodic Pop/Rock style he strikes back on his own, with a little help from some interesting friends such as Lifehouse guitarplayer Sean Woolstenhulme, Sean Hurley (Vertical Horizon) on Bass and on keyboards Wallflower Rami Jaffee. After a few spins i personnaly really got into "Pain Is A Megaphone", if i had to compare it with other solo artists i have to say its a bit of a mixture of Gavin DeGraw, Daniel Powter and Kef but then with more dramatic lyrics. Thats right, Steve has more to tell than above mentioned guys .... and this is what he had to tell us when i made contact with him .....
