Pretty funny how the world turns, thanks to the back up vocals of Steve Perry on one of the CLANNAD albums i became a huge follower of that Irish band. Always thought Clannad more to offer than just any other vocal band. Now, one night in Bruges last year Clannads female singer Moya Brennan was on a solo tour with Aussie band NAKED RAVEN as her support. Never heard of NAKED RAVEN before but their set that night blew me completely away. It was also the first time i heard their songs but what a fantastic expierence it was for me. Think of the harmonic voices of the Corrs but not as commercial, and with good songs who have a meaning, beautiful lyrics and a fine performance .... thats what the very talented NAKED RAVEN is all about. Their recent album "Never Quite" was just recorded and released in Germany and if this band never reaches the status as The Next Big Thing From Down Under ill walk barefoot from Belgium to Sweden and vice versa ! Heres what the band, Stepanie Lindner, Janine Maunder and James Richmond had to tell me when i put the spotlight on them ... |

Metal Rockers Nonpoint have just released their 6th studio album entitled "Vengeance" on Beiler Bros Records and show no signs of slowing down. I have followed the band since their debut album "Statement" that crushed rap/rock with metal at a brutal force. The band has made its way through years of this music as most bands in their scene have faded away through time. I had a chance to interview the singer Elias Soriano... |

Nonpoint have seen it all. In just over a decade, they've bounced around from four different record labels, released five (now six) different albums (of which they've sold nearly a million copies), charted all five albums in the Billboard Top 200, charted nine singles on the Billboard Top 50 Mainstream Rock charts, and toured constantly throughout it all. Nonpoint are seasoned veterans at this, so when they get ready to release an album, people tune in. We talked with Nonpoint drummer Robb Rivera to chat about the new album. |
