Art Of Dying
2011 was a great year for Canadas Art Of Dying and I'm sure that 2012 will be even better. Their major label debut "Vices and Virtues" is a wet dream for any fan of hardrock and melodic rock with great songs from start to end. I got the chance to ask the very cool guy Jonny some questions about yesterday, today and tomorrow and here it is!

Valora
Ever since I heard Valora last year I knew they were something special. Syd Duran is born to be a star and with her Valora she will be something special in the rock scene. The debut will be out in May and we were lucky to ask her some questions about the band, the future and little else!

Golden State
Golden State is one of my favorites bands right now. With members from the band Palo Alto they have all the elements to become a big band for the big stages. Their music is time less and still modern with great melodies and choruses. We got the chance to talk to James in the band and here's what we talked about…..

Matthew Mayfield
Matthew Mayfield released one of the, in my opinion, best albums of 2011. When the chance to interview him came up, it was a no-brainer. Check out what Matthew had to say about the up-coming album and a few other things.

Brad Byrd
I've been a big fan of Brad Byrd ever since his fantatsic debut album "The Ever Changing Picture" that was released in 2005. Loves his mix of traditional singer/songwriter rock with a portion of pop that makes it both classic and fresh. He's back with a new album called " Mental Photograph" that is equally as good and we just had to do an interview to get an update! Enjoy….

Jaymee Carpenter
Melodic.net's Kevin Chuck recently had the chance to sit down with up-and-coming music composer Jaymee Carpenter via the magic of email correspondence. The 35-year-old has worked on several different television shows, along with scoring scenes in the oscar nominated film 'The Fighter'. He also recorded the full score to the acclaimed documentary 'Crime After Crime', which is currently screening across the country and airing on on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Rains
It has been a busy couple of years for the guys in RAINS and things just keep getting better. Nationwide air play of their singles "Liar" and "Look In My Eyes" has helped them become household names and recently a small stint on the Share The Welt Tour turned into a full tour where they have been sharing the stage with All That Remains, Hatebreed and Five Finger Death Punch. Lead singer, Jeff Rains called me up on a recent day off to let us know how the tour has been going and what the band has in store for 2012.
