The 9th January 2009 sees the release of FLAT PACK
The 9th January 2009 sees the release of FLAT PACK, the first collaborative CD by Pete Hicks and Nick Magnus. Pete and Nick first met whilst recording and touring as part of Steve Hackett's band. They later got together in the studio to create 'Brother Sun, Sister Moon' which appeared on Nick's solo album 'Hexameron'. Although FLAT PACK is not essentially a 'prog-rock' album, the hint is always there and it goes a long way to present the duo's own distinctive style(s) with an eclectic mix of songs ranging from sweeping ballads to driving rock and pop. Nick arranged and produced Pete's songs, as well as co-writing two tracks and adding his own orchestral finale.
