Hawthorne Heights Signed To Wind-Up; Album Out In June
On June 1, 2010, Wind-up Records will release the new album, Skeletons, from the critically-acclaimed and platinum-selling band Hawthorne Heights (JT Woodruff, Micah Carli, Matt Ridenour, Eron Bucciarelli). The 13-track album was produced by Howard Benson (Seether, Three Days Grace, Daughtry, My Chemical Romance) at his Bay 7 studios in Valley Village, CA. This is the bands first album with Wind-up Records and follows 2006s If Only You Were Lonely which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200 and 2008s Fragile Future. The first single off Skeletons will hit modern rock radio and digital retailers in April. Hawthorne Heights previewed material from Skeletons during their U.S. tour that kicked off in November 2009 and took them across the States through December. Fans loved the new songs and were quick to pick up the free download cards (available in limited supply at each show) for the new track Unforgivable. In fan reviews of the single on AbsolutePunk.net, the song was well received. One fan raved, Im big on the song. If its any indication of the new album this shows GREAT promise. The two month run of performances added to an already impressive touring history with the band playing an average of 200 shows per year. Hawthorne Heights are in the midst of planning a tour to promote Skeletons when it hits stores later this spring. Tour dates to be announced shortly. Hawthorne Heights formed in Dayton, Ohio in 2001 and built a strong following across the U.S. via repeated self-booked tours. The band was one of the first visionary acts to embrace social networking as a powerful tool in building an audience, and, to this day, continues to maintain a level of accessibility to the fans via these platforms. Their debut album, The Silence In Black And White, was certified platinum for sales of 1,000,000 copies by the RIAA. The follow-up, If Only You Were Lonely, had an impressive debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 in 2006, going on to sell over a half-million copies and receiving gold certification. Hawthorne Heights recorded a third, and final album, for Victory Records in August 2008 titled Fragile Future. The band signed to Wind-up in February 2009. Tracklisting: 1. Bring You Back 2.
