This coming Tuesday, June 19th Delta Rae will release their debut album, Carry the Fire, worldwide. In the meantime, you can stream the entire album over at Rolling Stone, who has the exclusive premiere. The band recently participated in Billboard's "Under Cover" program. Watch them cover Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" and also play their own single, "Bottom Of The River," which they'll be performing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno June 25th. They'll also be performing at the GRAMMY Museum in LA on Monday, June 18th as part of an event with Seymour Stein. The band will be headlining Bowery Ballroom in NYC July 17th and will be on the road all summer, a full list of dates is below.
Delta Rae hails from Durham, NC and were recently signed to Warner Bros. Records by legendary A&R man Seymour Stein who is responsible for Madonna, Talking Heads and The Ramones. They're a six member band, with three siblings and four lead singers. The band's genre-bending sound is rooted in four-part harmonies. They've created their own Southern influenced version of Americana deep in passion, heart and soul.
While opening for Ozzy, Motley Crue engaged in a gross out contest of one upmanship with Ozzy. Ozzy won by snorting a line of ants and drinking his own urine while wearing a sundress at a hotel pool.
