Based out of Budapest Hungary Leander Rising’s 14 song debut album Heart Tamer delivers a whole new form of aggression, passion and ferocity. Caustic yet eloquent in their cathartic delivery, the band’s debut infuses a molten mix of influences that erupted with force.

Originally a solo project for its namesake Leander Köteles, but his first video for the song Bound To Belong created an internet buzz throughout Hungary and caught the attention of Attila Vörös, a young and well-known guitarist, who has also toured worldwide with Seattle metal band Nevermore, Attila reached out to Leander via e-mail and their collaboration began.  In the beginning Attila only came on to do some guest solos but as time went on they found their true sound was together.

Leander Rising is-Leander Köteles - singer, songwriter, lyricist, keys & bass, Attila Vörös - guitarist, songwriter , Jozzy - guitarist, co-songwriter, Bela Budai – drummer.

US touring news coming soon.

Did you know that?

The Goo Goo Dolls initially consisted of John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar), Robby Takac (vocals, bass guitar) and George Tutuska (drums, percussion). While Takac and Tutuska had been long-time friends in school, Rzeznik was playing in the band The Beaumonts, with Takac’s cousin. The three founded the band under the name "Sex Maggots". However, when a club owner booked the band, he requested they change the name, as the local newspaper could not print their current name. The trio picked the current name out of a True Detective ad for a toy called a Goo Goo Doll.
