Foster the People's "Coming of Age" video premieres today!

Foster The People have unveiled the official music video for “Coming Of Age,” the first single from their highly anticipated forthcoming album Supermodel (out March 18 on Columbia Records). Directed by BRTHR, the nostalgic video can be seen HERE, as well as on air on MTV, MTV2, mtvU and MTV Hits throughout the day. VH1 will also premiere the video on the Top 20 Countdown this Saturday, February 8 at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, February 9 at 8:00 a.m. Additionally, watch a special behind-the-scenes video and interview on MTV HERE and VH1 HERE.

The world first heard “Coming of Age” in a video that documented the creation of a seven story mural in downtown Los Angeles inspired by the album. The band recently played a sold out secret show at the foot of the mural—its official unveiling. “Coming of Age” is already climbing the charts, reaching Top 10 at alternative radio and #1 on Spotify’s Top 10 Most Viral Tracks. The single has received early critical acclaim:

“Bright guitar riffs, layered vocals and snappy handclaps”—Rolling Stone

“Frontman Mark Foster sounds casually assured throughout, bolstered by soulful backing vocals and a smooth ebb and flow that keeps the tune surging.”—Billboard

“Foster The People officially return with the breezy, synth-rock single ‘Coming of Age,’ a song that finds the band at their most reflective yet.”—Fuse

“Did you think Foster The People were just a one-hit-wonder? If this anthemic, arena-rock tune is any indication, their upcoming new album, Supermodel might change your mind.”—Paper

The globally influenced Supermodel is the follow-up to the group’s critically acclaimed 2011 debut Torches. Recorded in various locations around the world, Supermodel began as frontman Mark Foster and producer Paul Epworth set up a writing studio in a riad in Essaouira, Morocco at the end of 2012. The album is available for pre-order now digitally and at with an instant download of "Coming of Age."

Off the road since 2012, Foster The People will embark on a North American tour this spring. Kicking off in April at Coachella, the tour will include festival performances at Governors Ball, JazzFest, CounterPoint and Sasquatch as well as headline dates throughout the United States and Canada.
