Frontiers releases Kee Marcello?s K2 in June

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the European release of the highly anticipated album from KEE MARCELLO?s K2 entitled, MELON DEMON DIVINE, on June 17, 2004. This release will mark the long awaited return from the ?Guitar God? former member of EUROPE and EASY ACTION since his self-titled solo album, ?Shine On? in 1995.

KEE MARCELLO, is the former guitar player of EUROPE, one of the most popular hard rock bands ever, with sales in excess of 10 million units and of the glam band EASY ACTION. Together with EUROPE, Kee recorded two highly successful albums (?Out of This World? and ?Prisoners In Paradise?) and did three world tours including the one in support of the release of ?The Final Countdown?.

"Melon Demon Divine? is the first result of Kee Marcello?s new venture into recording at producing at his newly built studio called GEM Recording.
Musicwise it can be described as an heavily guitar oriented metal, throbbing production with melodic songs in trio format or, as Kee likes to say: ?A POWER FUCKING TRIO FROM THE OUTER SPACE OF HELL!?.
Combining heavy riffs with grooves and strong songs with the signature melodic solo playing of Kee, this album is an ambitious musical tour-de force displaying a variety of styles in the melodic hard rock genre.
The official line-up of K2 features Kee handling guitars and vocals with Snowy Shaw (King Diamond, Dreamevil) on drums and Ken Sandin (Alien, Transport League) on bass (bass on the cd is played by Klaatu).

Track listing is as follows:
Pre-Fix; E.M.D;Enemies; Blood; Epic; Raptor; If; Falling Apart; Hey Romeo; Evil Ways; Tatto For Patto; Comin? Home; Ride On; Can I Be The One; Raptor (instrumental version).
The instrumental version of ?Raptor?, from the soundtrack of the US motion picture ?Blood Shot? and ?Can I Be The One? co-written with tennis star Niklas Kroon, the Tennis Masters Cup official theme song, are bonus tracks exclusive on the European version of the cd.
Watch out for K2 live premiere at the Underworld in London on May 27, 2004 ! The first gig in their home country will be at the Meltdown Festival in Gothenburg on June 19th where the Swedes will perform, among others, with, Alice Cooper, Brides of Destruction, In Flames and Dimmu Borgir.
