Will the real C. P. please stand up? Hey Justin, that would be your cue! Sounds a bit like those wild dogs of Australia are missing a real sick pup...
Justin
Steve Perry is a colossal prick. That is why he is no longer with Journey. They found a better singer who is not a primadonna. He was also mauled by wild dogs in Australia, causing him to sing in a growly, low voice. He now fronts a Norwegian death metal band called "fjonkenschnuedel."

This picture is not the Journey I know.
RHONDA,
Will Mr Perry be releasing a new solo album with a tour in 2010? We need to bring sexy back with talent and that is steve perry. Did he write all the songs on his new album and which one means the most to him? I just want to wish Mr Perry a very happy birthday and let him know we miss him!!!
PAMELA
Steve Perry is a stand alone in his catergory for talent, no one will ever be Steve Perry , I have found it insulting that the band has gone on to try to reproduce his sound and his talent...we all miss Steve Perry, he is Journey and always will be. I no longer listen to the new Journey music, instead I go home as I did as a young adult and put on the record yes record player and put one of my vynil albums on and listen to him sing and I go back in time and remember how happy I was and am as I listen to him sing....Steve Perry brought me through many Journeys in my life with his music

I started listening to Journey in 1981. It seemed evrything I was going through Steve Perry came up with a song that touched me so much. I loved the real Perry! I wish he had never left. I do wish the band the best, but it will never be the same......

What songs did Steve Perry actually write by himself??
Melanie
I became a Journey fan in '05 and back then I thought Steve Perry was still singing for Journey, but to my sad surprise I leared he had been out since I was 8 years old. I was devistated because I had a crush on him and still do.I'm a die-hard Journey fan for the Journey with Steve Perry and most or my LP's, Cd's and cassetts are of Journey and Steve Perry. a while back, a teacher from school came to me at the beginning of the period and gave me the magizene advertisement of the Journey video game for the Atari, It featured the Escape video game and all the band members. and Steve Perry looked like he was in love with me. I graceously thanked her for the article and went hope and hung it on my wall.Anywho in my opinion I don't really see Journey as being Journey without Steve Perry. I've listened to Ageri and Arnel sing and they donot Sound anything like Steve Perry.and Journey isn't Journey without Steve Perry.

Well, where do i begin. I have loved journey since the beginng. The first time i heard Steve sing i almost cryed. I have an ear for tone and music. His voice is an instrument!! He has perfect pitch. I have never heard him hit a bad note. He has control of his vocals. I would rate him the best vocalist ever male or feamale. Barbra Striseand also has these qulities. I listen to him sing daily. We miss him but i have a full catalog of anything he recorded to listen to but would love to hear him do something new. I am sure his voice is mature and beautiful. His voice was matures on the trail by fire album and that was a deeper and the best peice of work they did. I love that album.
Steves Music has helped me through all kinds of situations and yes he made me believe somewhere there is hope!!! He also needs to believe that. IF journey reunited for one more cd or alvum america would go nuts!!! At least make peice guys for yourselves. Steve hope your are good to yourself and happy. We care enough to wish you happiness and good health. Your fans are the most loyal ther are out there.I hope Steve releases some more good dvd's. How abought the raised on radio concert or midnight special footage. How abought you for the love of strange medicne concerts? Wow these would sale big time. oh and the frontiers concert. anyway, what was i saying- yes believe in the music.

Where did Steve Perry attend High School?

I think that Steve Perry really blew everyone out of the water when he took the 80's with Journey. He is so different. Is there ever a chance of his sitting down with Neal and Jonathan and discussing a come back. I think that the song "after all these years " is great, but if Steve were to sing it with Journey, it would sky rocket. Really, can anyone disagree with that? I bet Journey would sell out stadiums like they used to if Steve got back together with them. And he is still as attractive as ever. A concert by the "real Journey" is something that I wouldn't miss for the world. I've been lucky enough to see my other favorite Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks. I won't rest until I can see the "real Journey". Steve, if you are reading this, is it true that you will be bring all of your fans a great new cd in 2009? You have such a great voice, you're like a wild man on stage and you look verrrrrrrrry sexy after all these years. I just love you and so do many others. Please don't ever take anything bad that anyone says about you to heart. Those type of people aren't happy with themselves and jealous. Please come back, babe.

I was lucky to see 2 Journey concerts in Ohio during the escape then the frontiers tour. After finally (in 82-83) being in the same building as Steve Perry as my eyes followed only him and heard instruments and THE voice, I will never attend another Journey concert unless by some chance Steve Perry came back. Steve you are the Journey. I have been listening to Journey since you walked into Infinity. After all of these years having your voice warm my heart and seeing how beautiful you are, I only have one question. Can I touch your hair? Everyone on this page is thinking it, I just said it. Steve has the sexiest hair. short, long, whatever...You put the believe in 'Don't stop believin' Steve. Now that I got further and darker then the subject.. Thanks for the many years of being you. May you chose to do what makes you happy and keep on doing it...just let us look/hear you once in awhile..I'm getting too damn old to chase after you (Maybe) so I won't mob you (much) . Ok, whoever reads this, if you think about putting a reply, it is really fun thinking he may read it. give it a whirl...feels good! Ok, I'm done. Later Steve baby, even though I know this isn't your website... (I'm in (46 years old) Columbia SC heh heh heh. and would love to see you solo and yes there is allot of footage out there from strange medicine..) OMGGGGGG what I would have given to see Steve then too. I love you Steve

I've listened to journey for years, but not knowingly connected the music to my feelings until recently seeing classic photos of the band with steve and neal performing together there was a real communication with the those two instruments perry's voice and neal's riffs and the way it poured out raw and so right on, and a flood of emotions came out about how we were back then and the people we knew .Those songs were so telling like old snap shots . In a lot of ways it hurt but still good again to see and feel your heart when it was young, thanks guys
Alan
Steve Perry was the main songwriter for Journey and the Voice!!! The new singer ,didn't write any of the music for their new album, and even if he sounds okay singing the old hits, they are not his.I'm wanting for the new album from the great Steve Perry.

I was 15 years old in the summer of 1982. That is when I first watched MTV and listened to all of the tracks off of Escape from Journey as I walked the streets on the plazain Santa Fe with my friends and my boom box. I fell in love with Steve Perry's vocals the very first time I heard his voice on the track "Lights". That is my FAVORITE Journey song. I once tried to purchase tickets for the Journey show when they came to Albuquerque in 1983, but they sold out and my mom would not fork out 150.00 for the tickets we could get in the paper the day after tickets went on sale. I remember moping for weeks afterward- Come to find out, I was robbed... I never got to see Steve Perry belt out the hits live... I once went to a show at the Journal Pavillion here in New Mexico only to be severely disappointed. The music was crisp just like listening to the CD, but when the dude on stage acting like our beloved Steve Perry got on stage with the coat with tails swaying side to side actually tried to sing, well ---YUCK!
I knew then and there, NO BODY can do it like Steve Perry....Why bother...
I just listened to the new album - strictly out of curiousity and the music seemed so much like a throwback from an early 1980's movie soundtrack... Then I heard the voice. NOT even close to the Great master, Steve Perry!!! But, you know that is what they are trying to copy!!!!
Rename the group and MOVE ON!!!! JOURNEY IS NOT JOURNEY WITHOUT STEVE PERRY!!!! IT NEVER WILL BE THE SAME AGAIN>>>Get a new sound and make new music... The world will thank you for it...
Neal Schon and Ross Valory, Together, with your musical talent, surely, you can strike up something totally new and totally AWESOME ... STOP trying to get a Steve Perry IMPOSTOR!!!! It doesn't work!
Love,
A TRUE JOURNEY fan!

I have loved Steve Perry since I was 11 yrs old. I am now 35 and still infatuated with him. Unfortunately, Journey was BIG when I was young so I was unable to ever see him in concert. I gaze at him while watching his concerts on DVD. I would love for him to know that there is a band called "Evolution" which is a Journey tribute band that is AWESOME! This lead singer HUGO is STEVE PERRY from the 80?s. He does an amazing job performing as Steve that it is incredible. I think Steve would get a kick out of seeing that. Their website is journeyshow.com. If by any chance Steve sees this, please let me know what you think. I would love to hear your reply. Steve you are an amazing performer and forever loved by your fans!!!!! LOVE YA
Eileen
I was a nerd in high school and never went to any concerts, and I remember overhearing some kids behind me all excited about going to a Journey concert. My older sister and her boyfriend frequented Journey concerts, and I was jealous. Now that I am older and less nerdy, I regret never having gone to a Journey concert, and when they came to Phoenix in 99 or 2000, they had a different lead singer. If I could have a "second childhood" type of fantasy, I would love to meet Steve Perry. I think I have a connection to him. I speak Spanish and he speaks Portuguese. His mother?s name was Mary and so was mine. He looks like my cousin?s husband, and that was the first wedding I ever was invited to. When I saw Steve?s picture, I felt a connection. If I were not able to meet him, I would be thrilled to receive a reply! Is there any way that he could answer me? I did very few exciting things as a child, adolescent, or teenager, and like I say I was very nerdy. I would be obliged to hear a reply!!!
