Small Mercies, new great modern rock from Australia, prod by Matt Wallace

Hailing from Brisbane, the four-piece band are Small Mercies are to release their debut album, Beautiful Hum.

Produced by Matt Wallace (Faith No More/Maroon 5), Beautiful Hum has ‘international smash’ written all over it.

Wallace discovered the band through MySpace. Impressed by what he heard, the producer set about making contact.

The band recorded with Wallace in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley for eight weeks at various studios, including The Pass and Sound City Studios. The results are nothing short of stunning. Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam/U2) applied the finishing touches to the album with top-notch mixes.

Nah, I don´t think it sounds anything at all like Creed. I expected something stolen directly off the song but no.......

Agree, the melody has a lot in common with the Creed tune. Don't close, I don't know, a nice pop/rock tune anyway....

On "Innocent" they have clearly stolen something from "my sacrifice" by Creed.

Did you know that?

Paramore was officially formed by Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Zac Farro (drums), Jeremy Davis (bass) and Hayley Williams (lead vocals) in 2004, with the later addition of Williams´ neighbor Jason Bynum (Rhythm Guitar). They took the name Paramore, which is derived from the latin saying unknown lover.;" once the group learned the meaning of the homonym paramour ("secret lover"), they decided to adopt the name, using the Paramore spelling.
