Review

From the state of New York comes the rocker Frank Palangi, he has 2 independent releases from 2006 and 2008 in the luggage plus a brand new EP that was recorded with Roger Masson who has worked with Marilyn Manson. Palangi is accompanied by the Grammy nominated rock band Day of Fire on these new songs, he mentions at his site that he is inspired by Creed, Metallica and Johnny Cash. That is a suitable description for his sound too, I think the music lies somewhere between grunge and hard rock where Palangi´s voice bring thoughts to Eddie Vedder at times. The songs are solid where my favorite is the heavy"I´m waiting" exceptthe acoustic "Remembrance" which is no fun at all while the 70´s riffs of "Its alright" is quite cool.

Did you know that?

Sahaj of RA held the record for longest single note, for a male vocalist, in a song, having held a high B for 24 seconds. He was overtaken by Jan Werner Danielsen of Norway with 28 seconds in his live version of Nella Fantasia. This record breaker can be heard on Ra´s live album, Raw, on the track "Skorn". Sahaj Ticotin overtook the previous record of 20.2 seconds which was held by Morten Harket, the lead singer of a-ha, in the song, "Summer Moved On".
