Review

The ARIA winning band Eskimo Joe want to stand on their own feet and started their own independent label Dirt Diamonds Records where they are releasing their new album "Ghosts of the past" on. The Aussie trio also produced the new album themselves and describes the sound as less polished compared to their previous albums, the first single "Love is a drug" is a real highlight here but there is more quality stuff on the new album. The opener "Gave it all away" sounds like a future fan fave to include in their setlists, the title track "Ghosts of the past" is very emotional and contains great lyrics. The first half of the record is a bit stronger than the 2nd half but it never gets boring, they´re huge in Australia so now the question is : When will Eskimo Joe break through in the world?
