San Diego based trio Republic of Letters combines Britrock with indie rock where they are influenced by bands like Editors, White Lies and Coldplay. The band features Chris Venti - Vocals/Guitar, Nick Venti - Drums and Martin Newinski - Bass and they have opened for artists like The Duke Spirit, Unwritten Law and Awolnation. Their debut EP "Spirit or a ghost" was released in 2007 and another EP came out in 2010 before their debut full length "Stories" was unleashed to the world in May this year. They´ve got a warm sound where the shining moments are "Karma" and "Entre chien et loup", but the album gets a bit monotone and several songs soundalike I´m afraid.
