Artist discography

Who had thought that we 2011 would see a brand new album from former Toto singer Fergie Frederiksen? In 2010 Fergie announced he had been diagnosed with liver cancer and many thought the worst, but today the cancer now being close to be defeated. So it’s great to hear him sing again and he sounds great and the album is filled with fantastic hook laden AOR/Melodic Rock.

Helping out Fergie in the song writing, we find Jim Peterik (ex-Survivor), David Roberts (Bad English), Mark Baker (House Of Lords, Signal), Robert Sall (Work Of Art), Joe Vana (Mecca) and Dennis Ward (Sunstorm, Pink Cream 69) to name some of them. Dennis has produced the album in a fine way and it sounds top-notch and the variation in the songs are great. Elaine is a pure AOR-rocker with crunchy guitars and huge hooklines and the chorus is a winner in the best Work Of Art style.

First To Cry is the same song that House Of Lords had on their latest album Big Money and it’s a classic AOR-song. Follow Your Heart is a wonderful piano ballad with outstanding melodies and arrangements. Happiness Is The Road is a poppy AOR-rocker with Pride Of Lions written all over it. The Future Ain´t What It Used To Be is an old Mark Free demo and this is a fantastic AOR-song with a classy sing-a-long chorus a´la Signal. The One is the best song on the album. This is pure pomp/AOR that reminds of the old group Le Roux that Fergie did one album with called So Fired Up. This is filled with stunning dut-dut keyboards and big riffs and a killer chorus with powerful harmonies. Pomp rules. If that was not enough he ends the album with The Saviour, with more dut-dut keyboards and the chorus is strong. So for God´s sake don’t miss this gem filled with fluffy and wonderful AOR music and Fergie sings his heart out. Highly recommended
