I welcome bands that experiment with genres like the Bay Area based Case In Theory, their debut album "Cinematic" is a crossover of progressive music and alternative rock. Their atmospheric sounds are heavily influenced by bands like Incubus, Dredg and Circa Survive and there´s no doubt their debut album is professionally done. I find the songs very colorful and relaxing, the band focus on strong melodies and thoughtful song arrangements. Just listen to the 4 part song "Mavericks" that would truly please the members of Rush for example. Highly recommendable!
