Review

Golden Resurrection´s 2nd album "Man with a mission" contains a bunch of well produced symphonic power metal songs with a touch of melodic pomp. The band is led by vocalist Christian Liljegren (Audiovision, Divinefire) and talented guitarist Tommy ReinXeed, this is not entirely a traditional power metal album because Golden Resurrection also deliver some mighty fine pomp a la Queen in tracks like "The light overture" and "Metal opus 1 C#m". The splendid "Man with a mission" is heavily influenced by Vince DiCola´s Rocky IV score, another great song worth mentioning is "Golden times" that can be described as Yngwie Malmsteen on an AOR trip. Sure, we get plenty cliche´s as well but the crystal clear production and the high standard of the songs makes this album really entertaining. Fans of Stratovarius and Avantasia will drool over the bombastic "Generation of the brave", great work guys.
