I dont have that much info about this group as it is a promo without a sleeve, but I can tell all you lovers of the sleazier edge of modern rock (I mean bands like Flying Tigers, Butch Walker and such) should listen up. Mars Needs Woman plays an straight ahead punkish sort of rock with fat guitars. All done with a melodic way of being. The production is good without getting exceptional (imagine this album with Don Gilmore as a producer... phew) but it still a good sound over the album and if you like powerpop-melodies in a tougher costume this is sure a check out. It strange that this band haven´t been picked by a major because they´re playing in the same division as plenty of their colleagues on Sony, Universal, RCA and the other big ones. Check them up at once folks.

Did you know that?

The Goo Goo Dolls initially consisted of John Rzeznik (vocals, guitar), Robby Takac (vocals, bass guitar) and George Tutuska (drums, percussion). While Takac and Tutuska had been long-time friends in school, Rzeznik was playing in the band The Beaumonts, with Takac’s cousin. The three founded the band under the name "Sex Maggots". However, when a club owner booked the band, he requested they change the name, as the local newspaper could not print their current name. The trio picked the current name out of a True Detective ad for a toy called a Goo Goo Doll.
