I remember back in the 80´s how music sounded so positive and then grunge came like the dark ages of rock, now we all know that the 80´s has become trendy again and more and more music sound happy. Take the Wisconsin based duo The Happy Gun and their debut EP "A villain becomes the victim" that sounds like butterflies flying in a blooming garden in spring, they´re obviously influenced by Owl City but instead of creating music on synthesizers - these two brothers focus on recording mainly with acoustic guitars and electronic drumbeats. Their music bring thoughts to Secondhand Serenade, the first track "Graffiti love" is really good and there are a few more shining moments but most songs tend to soundalike which is a shame since they´ve got potential. This EP is available as free download at bandcamp, I think it´s really nice.
