Review

I wonder if the Springfield based emo band Maker has been living in a bubble without knowing that emo is a dead genre these days? This 5 piece band released 2 Ep´s in 2009 and delivered their debut full length "Mirrors" last year, we´re talking emo oriented pop punk here where almost every new band wanted to play a decade ago until a few years ago when the emo haircuts went into vacuum and all bands changed sound to either hardcore or pop/rock. Now this is asolid album that grows for each spin and I would like to point out catchy songs like "Earthquakes" and "I´ve been wondering". I´m no fan of the acoustic song "A postcard I never sent to you" because it sounds really boring, you can expect a new album from these boys in 2012.

Tracklisting 1. Mirrors
2. Earthquakes

4. For Every Mistake I've Never Made
5. 1989

Did you know that?

Def Leppard“s drummer, Rick Allen, lost an arm in a car crash in 1984. However, Rick decided to keep on playing, and learned to do it with his feet and some programmed drum lines. The band continued as normal, and their next album with their "new" drummer was "Hysteria".
