Jessie Frye is a quite new acquaintance to me. What you get here is piano-based pop songs that bring to mind Natalie Imbruglia, Chantal Kreviazuk, Tori Amos and similar acts. Here is a little EP that serves to showcase the diversity of Jessie Frye and her band.

Opening song Like A Light is a atmospheric song that I can see myself listening to on bright summer days, a warm cozy pop song. Prepared is a rockier song with fuzzy guitars. Red Angel White Devil is a piano-led song while Fortune Teller is a groovy song. Sleeping Tornadoes is another piano-led song although slower than the previous one, thus insuring that not two songs sound the same. For me, the piano-based songs works best along with the opening song.

A nice little EP and a teaser to show what this band can do. Check it out for yourself, I do not think you will be disappointed if you are into the bands mentioned above.
