Aranda's self-titled debut from 2008 is a cool record if you like arena rock in a modern format. This sequel "Stop The World" follows the same pattern and offers classic rock made for the big scenes with nice choruses and perfect melodies. However, I think this album is slightly sharper, with a greater and bigger, but also more consistent when it comes to songs. The debut was good, but dropped slightly in half when it became a bit too blues-oriented. "Stop The World" then feels rather more focused, and should give the band a great boost in their careers.
The sound here is,also keeps a very high level since it is produced by none other than Johnny K (Sevendust, Staind, Disturbed). Like his pure and harsh production, which I think, is a big reason why the band has a sharper sound than before.
Highlights are "The Upside Of Vanity", "Breakaway" and "Satisfied", but the album is of good class all the way and worth checking up on you like this type of rock.
