We're gonna add some classic cuts from the old days when Melodic.net was called Midwestern Skies. So please enjoy. This one is from 1997...
Dave is one of the singers in Tradia and Voices who gaves us the fantasic Next stop paradise. Now he has released his first solo record. This is a very good record it´s little different from what he did in Tradia. It´s more acoustic but you still hear some traces from Tradia in some of the songs. It´s more midwestern rock with AOR traces. Dave´s vocals are great and that lifts this cd some grades. The only thing I have to complain on is that maybe he should have but some more up-tempo songs on Time, but you can´t get everything. The ballads he gives us are great, just listen to the emotional Sweet Sister, it´s a piano ballad with nice violins and cellos, Watch me cry is another ballad with pianos and here Dave sings fantastic and I don´t know is a great ballad too. Other great tunes you will find in Open up, I believe in you love with a slow start but the gets up-tempo to the chorus, great song. He gives us even one song from the Voices cd called All the lonely people and this is the most AORish song on the cd with some great background vocals. Dave brings us great melodies and that´s because he use very much piano in the songs and I have to mention his voice once again, he sings very good. I almost forgot to mention that two members from Tradia plays on the record. If you want softer AOR with midwester rock then check out Dave´s cd Time. I think also Tradia fans will enjoy this cd, because I did. Now I´m looking forward to hear the new Tradia cd.
Myles Kennedy was asked by Slash to audition as lead singer of Velvet Revolver, but he declined the offer. Two years later, he was called up by Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti asking to join a new band he was forming since Creed had recently broken up due to personal issues with singer Scott Stapp.
