Review

We're gonna add some old review from the old days when Melodic.net when the site was called Midwestern Skies. So please enjoy. This review is from 1999...

One of the worst band names I have heard in long time but fortunate the music is much better. Band Central Station plays classic 80´s AOR and they sound very much like 80´s Night Ranger, Norway and Valentine. The band members have worked with individuals from LA Guns, Saraya and Seduction. This is only a 4-track tape but it´s great stuff they have put out on this tape and it deservs to be discovered by AOR-fans and record companys out there. First song is Here Comes Love Again, is a good song with great background vocals. This song has could have been on the Norway album. What Ever It Takes is a nice AOR rocker in 80´s Night Ranger style mixed with Valentine(Hugo). Again the background vocals are great. You Never Said Goodbye is a fantastic AOR-ballad that sounds very much like Valentine. This is a ballad that would have been on the charts back in the 80´s. Drivin´Me Mad is a great track with rockier approach in Norway and Night Ranger style. The singer Rick Haller is a new talented singer with a voice that reminds of Steve Perry mixed with Glenn Pierson of Norway. Band Central Station was a great surprise. They have put out a great 4-track EP with great AOR music that should give them a chance to record a full-lenght album. I´m one that are looking forward to that.
