Review

Florence + the Machine has with their two studio albums Lungs (2009) and Ceremonials (2011) established themselves in the pop elite. If you listen to these two very well made albums, it is impossible to see how they fail not to be a really huge band in the future. Ok, they're already really big, but think that they need to deliver a few more albums in the same class to reach the farthest elite.

This live album recorded in New York's oldest Synagogue building, Angel Orensanz Center shows why they are on track. It really captures the nice ambience and mystique of the band, and actually thinks it's even better than their studio albums. It feels cleaner, really alive and above all far more organic and compared to their electronically produced albums. Florence Welch 'voice is really wonderful with a crazy cool vibrato that puts a unique stamp on the band and their spellbinding music.

So if you like emotional pop like a more modern version of Kate Bush, Florence + the Machine is an obvious choice that will give go some nice moments. Begin with the unplugged record that includes the best from the band and this in a very nice format!

Did you know that?

Actor Eric Roberts (brother of Julia Roberts) plays the so called "pimp" in the American version of the video for The Killers song Mr. Brightside.
