Afterglow is the third studio album by English-American hard rock band Black Country Communion and produced by regular producer Kevin Shirley. Not that much is new under the sun compared to the two first album even if this album feels contain a few morehooks, melodies and choruses than their previous works. Glenn Hughes sings great, the production is lovely and the performance from the band (it's a great line up with Glenn Hughes – lead vocals, bass guitar, Joe Bonamassa – electric guitar, acoustic guitar (and even co-lead vocals on one track), Jason Bonham on drums and Derek Sherinian on keyboards. The rumour says that this may be the last album from the band. I hope not. The world need this sort of new 70's rock when it is this well done.
The Cure´s original name was Easy Cure, which was taken from the name of one of the group´s early songs. The name was later shortened to The Cure because frontman Robert Smith felt the name was too American and "too hippyish".
