Artist discography

From London, England comes As Lions that are a newcomer in the alternative metal / rock scene. The band was formed by vocalist Austin Dickinson, guitarist and keyboard player Conor O'Keefe, guitarist Will Homer, bassist Stefan Whiting and drummer Dave Fee in 2015, and since then their career has gone straight up.
On this album, the band has worked with greats such as David Bendeth (Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Paramore) and Kane Churko (Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, In This Moment), which of course have given them a great and really fat sound.
Although the band is derived from the British Isles, I must say that they sound more like Americans. Imagine a mixture out of The Veer Union, Seasons After, Failure Anthem and Like a Storm as we talk Modern Rock in the tougher school with some metal influences. This is not surprising considering Austin Dickinson is the son of none other than Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.
Qualitatively As Lions belongs also to the top of the later bands in the genre and delivers a very strong and consistent record. With tracks "Selfish Age", "Pieces" and "Aftermath" they sounds really fantastic shows their impressive musical muscles. "White Flags" and "World on Fire" are on the same level and cannot give the album anything than a high rating. Great work guys!

Did you know that?

The name "Minus the Bear" comes from an in-joke among the band members, referring to the 70´s television program, B. J. and the Bear. "A friend of the band had gone on a date,” explains singer-guitarist Jake Snider, "and one of us asked him afterwards how the date went. Our friend said, ´You know that TV show from the ´70s B.J. and The Bear? It was like that... minus The Bear.´ That’s the straight truth."
