Edge is a new Swedish AOR sensation who has released their debut that is filled with hookladen Scandi AOR. They have a great sound with crunchy guitars and layers of keyboards. If you like Bad Habit and Wigelius then this album is a must. You will not find any weak tracks but all songs are awesome. The opening track Little Girl leads the way with catchy hooks and a strong chorus. Get Over It is a duet with Martina Edoff and is a nice mid-tempo song that is reminiscent of Swedish Shiva. If you remember Norwegian Hush and like their strong debut album, then you will love the song I Believe In Love with a Hush feel over it. It´s a strong melodic rocker with a nice chorus. Right Now is the best song on the record and is a killer AOR song with wonderful keyboard and hook lines. The chorus is brilliant. I could easily mention all the songs because they are all damn good. Singer Jonas Fors has a powerful and husky voice and production is crystal clear. This is a safe buy if you like Scandi AOR.
Anchor & Braille´s initial output greatly contrasted with Christian´s primary band Anberlin, relying on toned-down instruments such as keyboards, pianos, and acoustic guitars. However, the 2009 album utilized a full band, with all songs written by Christian but produced and augmented with additional instrumentation by Aaron Marsh (Copeland) afterward.
