Listen up! want some real refreshing powerpop/rock
with lots of edge to it,not to mention energy and
hiclass melodies....holy smoke Here?s the lot!
These finnish dudes did a brilliant album back in 2001
called "Into" and it was on my top 20 list that year.
The Rasmus don?t dissapoint me either with "Dead Letters",I think they brought a little more heavier
and rougher sound into the new one though. But they
haven?t lost their own sound,ohno!
....singer Lauri
has a wonderful voice and all you out there who love
their new single "In the shadows" will find more of
that extra strong stuff on their 5th studio album.
Yes,they?ve been around for a while and deserve
a break in the rest of the world. When they recorded
the new album, they watched horrow movies both day and
night to get the right feeling into the studio! That
sounds like my kind of guys.I hope The Rasmus will
see The Ring a dozen times so we can get an even
better record next time....*laughter*......seriously,
some impact on the band did the horror nights have
because "Dead Letters" is darker than their earlier
sound. With songs like "Still standing","In my life"
and "Time to burn" there?s no doubt about it,The Rasmus
continue to rock good!

The Finnish boys are back with the follow up to their successful debut a year ago, and they continues to deliver very good modern rock with a pop edge. They sure have a great talent to write catchy hooks and the album is filled with refrains that is a wet dream for all you melodic rock lovers out there. The single ?In The Shadows? that is a big hit here in Sweden for the moment is one good tune and there are plenty of more in the same calibre. I?m quite sure that this band can do it big time. I?m as I said earlier, very impressed of their melodic sense. The production signed Micke Nord is also solid and proof that the guy have a future as a producer for this sort of music and not only wimpy stuff that he?s been dealing with the last couple of years.
