Angels of mercy, Live in Germany is the 2nd live album from Primal Fear, in some opinions aka the Judas Priest of Germany.
They´ve got 11 studio albums to pick songs from but focus on the latest "Rulebreaker" record from 2016 where 5 tracks are taken from, unfortunately one of their weakest efforts if you ask me.
The band performs no songs from "Unbreakable" (2012) which is rather strange since it´s their most successful album to date, but we get an explosive version of "Sign of fear" from the 2007 album "New religion" and the early classic "Final embrace" where Primal Fear is flirting with Iron Maiden.
Ralf Scheepers sings like a true hero of metal and the production is really good but why are the songs fading out with no sound of the audience except for a few tracks?
It´s a live album that is supposed to give you the feeling of being at the concert instead of listening to a best of album, all in all it´s a good collection of strong German metal so I can´t give it any lower than 3 out of 5.
