Kaleo is the fresh breath of air we all have been looking for.
A/B is a perfect example of a well rounded album that showcases there is still life in the blues and indie rock world. You can just hear the passion Kaleo has for music.
'No Good' is a stomp your feet blues infused rock song that starts the record off with a nice bang.
'Way Down We Go' hands down is my favorite song off this entire album. I feel it really captures Kaleo's belief in the power of music. The lead singer shines with his raspy southern bluesy vocals placed just over his band mates bass, rhythmic guitar and pounding drums.
Fun Fact #1 Kaleo means "The Sound" in Hawaiian.
'All The Pretty Girls' leans more towards the ballad side with a more introspective approach to things.
'Vor I Valaskogi' is a traditional Icelandic love song and is the only one sung in their native language.
Fun Fact #2The reason behind the album title being set as A/B was due to the lead singers fascination with vinyl and the band writing material that is of two genres.
Without giving too much of A/B away I hope it will encourage you to seek the band out for yourself. Lovers of blues, indie and rock will not be disappointed.
