Review

The good looking sex shock and every girl?s wet dream
is the former White Lion singer Mike Tramp that returns
with his 3rd solo album and it?s a long way from the
music he did with both White Lion and Freak of nature.
You could call it soft AOR with rootsy rock?n?roll,
with some Soul Asylum touches to it,you know the band
with the mega hit "Runaway train".

The songs works ok as background music and a melodic
tune like "Back from the dead" makes me wanna hum
along too but it feels overall just a little *thin*
in the production, there?s nothing wrong with the
class behind some of the stuff.....I think "Lay down my
life" and "Don?t want to say goodnight" are quite nice
to listen to but the whole album goes by unnoticed!

I let it roll a few times but it doesn?t seem to stick to my head at all, maybe he should?ve done an EP instead.

Tracklisting 1. More To Life Than This
2. Lay Down My Life For You
3. Don't Wan'T To Say Goodnight
4. Nothing At All
5. Day By Day
6. Live For Today
7. Back From The Dead
8. I Won't Let Go
9. Goodbye Song
10. The Good The Sad And The Ugly

Mike
Great album, it is the best album to have in your car cd player!

It is just from which point of view you start to listen to it. if you start thinking this will be like White Lion of Freak of Nature indeed you will think it is thinner. but if you forget those bands and start listening to it while driving in your car or when sitting in front of your fireplace you will find an album which is very emotional built around the life of Mike tramp. this means some very personal lyrics, heartbreaking moments and pure classic material, mike being a fan of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty becomes easy to imagine on this album. no big hooks and breaks, no glam, just pure emotion. also i wanted to add just listen to the last song on the album, its a classic, it could easy become a world hit with the right money and promotion behind it! CHECK IT OUT!
