Review

"The Reign" is the 6th studio album from American rock band Hinder and their 2nd album for The End Records, but this band clearly had a few question marks that needed to be sorted out.

Their 5th studio album "When the smoke clears" showed a band with identity crisis, the songs on their previous album revealed a band that wanted to be both Nickelback, Bon Jovi and Kelly Clarkson at the same time.

But to my joy, Hinder rock harder on the new album "The Reign" where frontman Marshal Dutton feels more comfortable singing these songs than the more pop-oriented on "When the smoke clears".
"The Reign" is their best album since "Take it to the limit" from 2008, besides the two strong singles "Remember me" and "The Reign", Hinder also delivers great modern rock songs like "Too late", "King of the letdown" and "Play to win".

This is how I want Hinder to sound like, edgy kick ass rock in the same vein as Lynam, New Device and Adelitas Way.
