When I did a review of BTATS "Flux" EP from 2014, I compared their electro rock sound to bands like Thirty Seconds To Mars and The Panic Division. Since then, the band has released covers by Linkin Park, Brandon Flowers, Three Days Grace and Skillet.
But they have also released enough singles these two years to fill an EP with songs like "Impossible", "Reach out to me", "Burning wings", "Get out", "Reinvent" and "Waking life". You would think something would end up on the brand new EP "The Way Out" but instead we get 4 new original tracks.
I still recognize their electronic rock sound on "The Way Out" but I also would like to describe this EP as a blend of 80´s and post-hardcore, just listen to "The Upside Down" or the title track "The Way Out" and you´ll get my point.
I think it´s a good EP but I prefer "Flux" over this one.
