Review

After a few years of hiatus, Starsailor reunited in 2014 and released a Greatest Hits collection called "Good Souls" in 2015 featuring two new tracks.
I have always liked their bandname more than their music. I think their Britpop is a bit light and I am satisfied with just a small dose of one or two songs once in a while.
It´s the same with their 5th studio album "All this life" which is their first studio album in 8 years, I like a couple of songs on it but as an entire album, it works better as background music when you go out shopping in the mall.
The Manic Street Preachers-like opening track "Listen to your heart" is good and I wish they´d rather went for the rock-oriented lane than the soul-stuff on this record.
They could´ve given away the funky soul song "Caught in the middle" to Justin Timberlake instead, it´s not what I want to hear on a Starsailor record.
I get the feeling I won´t like "All this life" more after ten more spins.
