Stan Bush, Stan, Stan, Stan. What are we going to do with you? I read all these rave reviews of your 13th studio album "Change the world" and it seems like all these reviewers must be happy with getting re-recordings of old songs and a few new songs delivered in a so-so production. "Change the world" really do sound like low-budget to me.
"Change the world" features "Never surrender" from the Van Damme film "Kickboxer", "Dare" from "Transformers", "Warrior" from the game Shadow Warrior 2 and for the 100th time (well 5th time to be exact) we get a re-recorded version of The Touch but with a crappy mix, that´s like being thirsty in the desert and then someone comes along with a package and you hope it´s water but instead it´s filled with sand. I don´t want another version of The Touch, mr.Stan Bush.
When I want to listen to this awesome AOR song, I put on the "Barrage" version from 1987.
So is there anything good about this wreckage of an album? Oh yes, the new single "Born to win" is in fact really good. It takes me back to the Soundtrack songs of the 80´s. Perhaps, Stan Bush should´ve just released a new single instead of a LP.
