Review

From South Africa, comes New Volume that now is based in London, UK. Their debut Envy, released in 2016, is an album I've played a lot for a year now and that I can’t get bored of. Love their Alternative Rock, which has a lot in common with the countrymen Civil Twilight, but also with the cool act, Livingston. The band also has some Depeche Mode and some small Gothic parts like a clone of Coldplay and HIM, which of course give them a very exciting sound.
Just listen to the three opening tracks "Turn Of The Light", "If Looks Could Kill" and "One Touch", and you will understand what I mean for sure.
For some reason, the album hasn’t gained the buzz I expected, despite have toured with bands like Anberlin and Young Guns. This trio is at least as good as these and deserves to be looked up if you like this kind of big sounding and slightly emotional Alternative Rock. Great album!
