Review

Pop punk in 2017 is not the same as it used to be 20 years ago, many of the bigger acts evolve or follow trends leaving only a few of the classic bands still sounding like they used to.

And then we have Harmful If Swallowed that has released an EP of 5 tracks that could´ve been released in 2001 so don´t tell them it´s 2017 because they might listen to what´s on the charts and then realize they´re not in the same family soundwise.

Their "Sleepless" EP is an example of how to make great pop punk in these times when everybody´s humming on songs by Taylor Swift and The Weeknd. I knew the awesome track "Blame" from this EP from before and thought it would be hard to come up with more songs with the same top notch quality but Harmful If Swallowed most certainly did.

It´s easy to believe that Tom DeLonge of Angels and Airwaves had something to do with songs like "Dreamkiller" and "Forever" because they have the name DeLonge written all over them. If you´re a fan of Blink 182, you must check out this EP.

Tracklisting

1.Blame

2.Dreamkiller

3.Forever

4.In trust
