Review

Violent Divine´s 5th album "Louder than love" won´t start a revolution, these guys just want to rock and couldn´t care less if they´re hip or not. That´s good.
They call their sound "popdoom" or "sleazethrash" but a more appropriate way to describe the new album is a blend of rock, metal and grunge.
I used to dig this band on their previous releases "In harm´s way" (2009) and "Release the hounds" (2010) so I´m not too impressed by the way their frontman Mike Divine sings on "Louder than love". It keeps me thinking of Volbeat and that is quite disturbing to be frank.
Violent Divine list their influences as Judas Priest, Kiss, Metallica and Motley Crue. With all those brilliant names, I think we could ask for a bit stronger quality on this 13 track album.
