Review

We are taking a step back in time with this DVD release.

It's 1975, and Alice Cooper just became a solo artist.

With the release of his first solo album Welcome to My Nightmare, Alice toured in support of this release.

Two shows were filmed and edited into a concert movie, released in 1976.

This film has recently been re-released asWelcome to My Nightmare- Special Edition.

On top of that this DVD  release also includes the 1975 TV Special The Nightmare, which has never been released on DVD.

The movie was last released on DVD back in 2002. which was critisized having poor quality.

On this new release i can't say it has improved a lot. But still it is very entertaining to watch.

. From what’s been written over the years, The audio in the movie is still a bit odd but aside from that Alice's perfomance is solid and as you might know todays shows by Alice never mathes the extravaganza from what he brought back then.

The Nightmare - 1975 TV Special
The Nightmare was a musical TV movie aired on ABC back in 1975,  Alice plays Steven, a man stuck in a nightmare. Guiding him is actor Vincent Price, who already appeared on the original album as well.

This TV special makes the DVD worth buying for fans. Alice should have done more specials like this.

Did you know that?

"ALICE COOPER" was originally the name of the entire band, before lead singer Vince Furnier took the name for himself.
