Review

This is an unexpected comeback from Canadian AOR band Boulevard. The band that released two really good albums with "Blvd" (1988) and "Into the street" (1990), so after 27 years they´re back with a brand new album and not just an unreleased album that was shelved from the time when Dinosaurs walked the Earth.
The original members David Forbes - Lead Vocals, Andrew Johns - Keyboards and Mark Holden - Saxophone are still in the band together with Randall Stoll - Drums (who played on "Into the street") and the new guys Cory Curtis - Bass, Dave Corman - Guitar.
"Luminescence" is a great light AOR album that remind me of how AOR used to sound like back in the day, if you remember bands like 2 A.M, Adrenalin and Mark Williamson, you´ll know what I´m talking about.
Boulevard are setting the bar high straight away with the opening track "Out of the blue", a fab westcoast/AOR-ish song. "I can´t tell you why" is another fine example of the quality of this album, no it´s a The Eagles cover but a beautiful AOR song where singer David Forbes shows he still got the pipes.
Highly recommendable!
