Review

The "metoo" movement started by a group of strong and confident women that got tired of being pushed around and treated like sexobjects, a woman wants to be treated with respect as the person they are and not one of your belongings.
Women in music always had to stand up as the artists they are and fight harder then men, if you have no idea what I´m talking about, you can just read autobiographies by Pat Benatar, Cherie Currie or Nina Hagen to learn all the shit they had to deal with in the male-dominated music business.
Cylew proved with her latest album "Black Lace Prophecy" from 2012 that she  is a strong and talented female artist that can write really good songs with a big spectra.
"Black Lace Prophecy" is a diverse record with elements of electronica, new wave and even goth rock while the 3rd LP "MOT3L" is more rock. There are traces of grunge and 70´s hard rock in the new album but it´s mostly a 90´s rock album where the sound bring thoughts to Hole meets Fanny.
I still think "Black Lace Prophecy" is a stronger album but "MOT3L" is without doubt a solid rock affair with a few highlights like "Western sky", "Jupiter´s crash" and "Stalking my prey".
Cylew deserves the same fame and attention as Courtney Love, Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) and Dolores O´Riordan (The Cranberries).
If you´re new to Cylew, start with "MOT3L" and work your way back, there are goodies waiting for you.
