I don´t know what to make out of Bryce Fox´s EP "Heaven on hold", this is a guy that probably rocks on stage, thinking of all the loud guitars on his EP. But this is also an artist that likes to take inspiration from varied genres like R&B, electro pop and Britrock. The music is both retro and modern, I´m not walking on thin ice saying that a DJ could easily make remixes of these songs that would work in a dance club.
I´m not sure if I like it or not, the modern aspect of the sound is a big no-no but Bryce is never far away from cranking up the rock a notch.
If Timbaland collaborated with Noel Gallagher and TwentyOne Pilots, the result could very well be "Heaven on hold".
