Artist discography

Modern rockers Mars Electric, which played under the name The Wish in the beginning, released a great arena rock influenced album back in 2000 called Beautiful Something. If you don't have that one, get it today folks cause it's a very nice piece of melodic modern rock.

And quite soon will their follow up one be released on the great label Atenzia, which has released a number of great albums this year such as my faves 40 feet Ringo and Brian McDonald Project.

If their previous album was arena rock influenced this new is more to the more punky side of modern rock with a little harder edge. I like this edgier side of the band, which feels more up to date and less polished as the debut felt a little.
The album starts in a very good way with "Bemused", which reminds me of 40 Feet Ringo with a fast beat and a catchy chorus. Second out "Disco king", which is my favorite follows the same way as the opener and has potential if it gets out with it?s cool lyrics. I really liked the super melodic songs that we got on the 2000 album and of course has Jacob Bunton and his boys done it again. The marvelous songs "Descend" and "Baby's got a brand new life" would easily have fit on the debut and are two other favorites on this great album.
At last I wanna say that this new one from Mars Electric is step in the right direction with a little tougher approach and a real check up for all modern rockers out in cyber space!
