Thank God for great rock music!,and with this case the biggest christian rock band of the world-Petra thanks god for many other reasons too and they are back louder than ever with the exciting new album "Jekyll and Hyde". Their last effort "Revival" is a very good alternative modern rock album in my opinion but to many Petra fans, the new style wasn?t what they wanted so singer John Schlitt and homecoming guitarplayer/songwriter Bob Hartman(who was away as a groupmember and only contributed with music and some guitars but didn?t tour for more than 7 years) decided to ask the fans how the new album should sound like. The result was a return to the old harder sound we heard on masterpieces like "Beyond Belief","On Fire" and "This means war"......I remember when I read that in earlier this year and I thought X-mas was already here because when Petra is good, they are hard to beat or even impossible to beat. This band has been going since 74 so next year will be the 30th anniversary but with this new record,it feels like an anniversary already.......their 25th album "Jekyll and Hyde" is their best piece of work since the stunning "Beyond Belief"(90),I saw them on that tour and it?s an everlasting memory so now I have hopes again that Petra will cross the seas and play for the Swedish audience once again with a mix of songs from this new album as well as the gigantic rock albums they made between 84 and 91,that would be something out of this world! This monster of an album is what I call Big-Time-Rock and with songs like "Perfect world","I will seek you" and the title track "Jekyll and Hyde",Petra will take back the throne where they used to sit on over a decade ago. The megamelodic "Till everything I do" has awaken the youngster in me that grew up with the Elefante produced albums Petra used to do,-Dont let your heart be hardened - dont let your love grow cold,May it always stay so childlike - may it never grow too old!........classic Petra lyrics that feels timeless just like this Hard rock Starship called JEKYLL AND HYDE!

Its a great album! The first good album Petra put out in over 10 years. Definately recommended. Forget the alternative and soft crap albums they put out last decade. This is the real stuff and it rocks hard! Petra is back on track again. With an album like this the future looks great
