Live on Saturday 13th Sept Concert hall Bruges, Belgium

Dating an ex girlfriend does pay off, thanks to my ex girl Sylvia i
found out Lisa Loeb was playing in my hometown Bruges just 6 days
before
the event. Now a little promotion from before wouldnt hurt anyone,
unfortunatly even the local CD shops dont have the CDs of La Loeb
or
havent even heard of her before ! In some way i believe i was the
only
Belgian who owns her 4 releases "Tails","Firecracker","Cake & Pie"
and
"Hello Lisa". Well if these albums are not available how on earth can
you sell tickets for this show to the impressive brand new concert
hall
?
Anyway, i guess there were like 300 people, mostly foreigners from
Canada, The States, Germany and ofcourse Holland who witnessed an
outstanding live performance of Lisa Loeb. Matt beck (guitars), Joe
Quigley (Bass) and Ronny Crawford on drums were her back up band and
it
may looked that there was room enough for this small band on a big
stage
but who needs more members if you can create a beautiful sound
combined
to those excellent songs like "Everyday","You Dont Know
Me","Truthfully","Taffy" and "I Do". Lisa looks rather young but
worked
in the past with (AOR) heroes such as Billy Steinberg, John Shanks,
Matt
Chamberlain, Jack Joseph Puig, Rusty Anderson, Glenn Ballard, Peter
Collins, Tony Berg (Channel) and Jim Peterik with who she was on
stage for the TV series
Cupid three years ago. Her songs are way stronger live than you might
expect, its at least as strong as the Jonatha Brooke material and on
top of that Lisas voice is unbelievable impressive too ! If you get
the
chance to catch a Lisa Loeb live performance in your neighbourhood
you
really should go because she also has a sense of humor and
communicates
close (and long) to her audience to whom shes very grateful to.
Especially during requests for the two acoustic breaks she was
extremely
awesome, requests like "Jake" and the fantastic lyrically "Furious
Rose"
were finger licking good. I couldnt notice one bad moment of this
almost two hours of pure live enjoyment. I was really impressed by
the
efforts of her band and this little girl, shes smart, funny in good
shape and has everything that a female singer dreams of ... I wish i
could date Lisa !
