Sophomore release from a talked-about band that are getting rave reviews everywhere for this new album,I can trace some emo like Finch in these youngsters music such as some punk a la Something Corporate and also some posthard core but in a softer way. This is what they say about themselves on their own website:Jesse Lacey got drunk at a holiday party last year and karaoked "Sk8ter Boi". During the bridge he disclosed some intimate details about one of his exes while on the mic. Several people have yet to forgive him. He is also the singer of this band.
Vin Accardi is a true mixologist with a mental database of at least fifty potent cocktails, many of which must be "pounded". He fingers frets for a living and plays the guitar/ Brian Lane has ridden a mini bike through a nightclubs foam party. He is not only a genius but he is also the drummer/ Garrett Tierney has been known to go on makeoutclub.com, filter through all of the best looking girls interested in his band, then IM them with the surefire line "Yo". He plays bass. The band had their share of problems before recording this album as you can read on their biography and compared to the debut they have matured as songwriters and mixes humour with serious matters like with Laceys grandfather that was diagnosed with cancer and he wrote the song "guernica" for him. But the titles are the coolest things on this album thinking of "Me Vs Maradona Vs Elvis" or "PLay Crack the sky"(amazing how young people can remember such an old band?!) or this one "Okay I believe you but my Tommy gun don?t". Neat, neat, neat just like the Damned sang back in 77,but is this good?...well,it?s just as good as having sex when you don?t feel like it-nice but you don?t get much out of it so to speak!
