Artist discography

From Tulsa,Oklahoma comes this Powerpop quartet with 2 releases in their back and this 3rd independent album just out,Admiral Twin are doing well at the charts for pop/rock bands and those who appreciates light powerpop-I think you could take a few minutes to hear them out but if you care for more flesh and energy......nah,go to the next review!
None of the guys in the band sings very well and the production gives the word - thin - a new meaning! So,I can think of 3 things that would improve their sound and that?s better songs, better production and a new lead singer......hrm might as well bring in a whole new band!

While I agree that Admiral Twin is not the heaviest power pop band around, I disagree with the assessment of the singers and production . The specialty of this band is in the subtlety of finely crafted lyrics, offered in arrangements with fine touches and variety in sound settings. Versatility and intelligence shine, along with a crafty sense of humor. Three different singers and writers, each with his own personality reflected in the words and voice. All great voices, imo, both individually and in the harmonies and interwoven counter melodies that fill the arrangements. Production focuses on setting the mood for the individual song, not on an overall power sound. These are songs best enjoyed if you take time to listen closely and pick up all of the layers.
